Gold Plated Silver Medal with silver purity 990.00 as per IS 2112:2014 embossed with I.R. logo on one side and Western Railway logo on the other side as per specifi cation (copy enclosed). The medal shall be displayed on two Aluminum pillars. Other details as per drawing. 1] The medal with Aluminum pillars with high polished to attain the glos s should be kept in a closed plastic box containing the medal should be removable one for further cleaning of the box and the medal. 2] The fitting of the medal in the box may be pl aced in proper direction. 3] The colour of the silver medal should not be blackened due to passage of the time.4] The satin cloth which is used as base where the gold plated medal is fixed in the plastic box should be red colour. 5] Thickness of gold plating on silver medal minimum 0.5 micron. Plus or Minus 2% tolerance in the weight will be allowed. 6] Inspect ion of silver grade to be done as per IS 2112: 2014 and gold electroplating as per IS 3266: 1982 7] Tolerance, wherever not indicated shall be as per IS: 2102 Part I and Part II (Medi um tolerance). 8] PVC is applicable as defined in the tender document.
