Hardwood to IS: 707, Metal band to IS: 1079 ST-34. Hardwood packing to be secured both ends with metal bands (Steel strip 30 x 5mm thickness) at a distance of 3 inch from the lengthwise end. Metal band (Steel strip) shall be inserted in packing by making equivalent groove to seat metal band and should be level to the surface of packing.
